How the loop works

Step 1

One person holds the pot

Each week, one member of the loop is the current pot-holder — chosen at random from the people who paid in the week before.

Step 2

They share their link

The pot-holder gets a personal link. Anyone — friends, family, total strangers — can use it to join the next draw.

Step 3

Everyone pays in R10.00

A small, low-stakes entry. PayFast or EFT, your choice. Every entry adds to the pot for the week.

Step 4

The pot pays out

At week's end, the pot-holder receives everything collected — minus a small payout fee — and the loop picks its next holder from this week's payers.

The fine print, made simple

  • South African only. Lucky Loop is open to South African citizens with a South African bank account — this is required so payouts can actually reach you.
  • One account per person. A valid South African ID number is required at sign-up and enforces one account per person. Multiple accounts to gain extra draw entries is not permitted and will result in a permanent ban.
  • Pay to play. You must pay R10 each week to be eligible for that week's draw. No payment = no entry, even if you're registered.
  • Referrals earn extra entries. Every person who pays via your personal share link counts as a referral for that week. 5 referrals = +1 extra entry, 15 = +2, 25+ = +3 (max). Existing members count too — anyone who pays via your link, any week.
  • No one paid this week? The current pot-holder stays on for another round.
  • Only one person paid? The loop flips a coin between them and the current holder.
  • Two or more paid? The next holder is chosen at random from the weighted pool — more referrals = more entries = better odds.
  • Fees are transparent. A small percentage covers payment processing and admin costs, and a small flat fee covers the payout — everything else goes into the pot. Specifically: PayFast payments carry a 15% processing fee, EFT payments carry a 5% admin fee, and payouts carry a R10.00 fee per R1,000.00 of pot value.
